Elam Sports O`ahu – Liquid Therapy
At ELAM SPORTS O`AHU™, we have an endlesspool® system in which we administer Liquid P.T. This allows us to perform pool therapy and exercise in a comfortable, in-door environment. The pool is multi-depth, ranging from 18 in. to 4 feet and has a current-generator that enhances the rehabilitation experience. Being in-doors, the pool is kept at a very relaxing 92° F (American Arthritis Foundation standards). At this temperature not is it only comfortable but the heat of the water has a palliative, analgesic effect.
Medical conditions that would benefit from Liquid P.T. are many and include the following: ankle injury or surgery, arthritis, back pain and surgery, cardiomyopathy (recovering), diabetes (bariatric), hip pain or surgery, pulmonary dysfunction, and shoulder pain or surgery.
Inclusion Criteria for patients would be that they are able to ascend/descend 5-steps, and that there is no open wound or active incontinence.
Referral? No problem.

The referral process is easy. All the physician has to do is:
- FAX a prescription form to our administrative office at 674-9696. That’s it! We do the following:
- Verify insurance and care for all paperwork.
- Provide the referring physician with regular updates on the patient‘s progress.
